왜 옥스브리지에 지원했나요?
<p>옥스브리지 인터뷰에서는 보통 왜 옥스퍼드/케임브리지에 지원했는지 혹은 왜 <생화학>과에 지원했는지 질문하지 않습니다. 하지만 만약을 대비하여 이러한 질문들에 준비되어 있어야 지원하는 학생 입장에서 덜 불안하고 자신있게 인터뷰에 임할 수 있을겁니다.</p>

<p>“Firstly, I like the idea of a small group discussion learning through the Oxford tutorial/Cambridge supervision system. I’ve learnt during the Open Day/university site that the tutorial/supervision system works by having an extensive pre-work completed and submitted beforehand and work through these with the tutor/supervisor. And as well as being able to have any question answered in this regular weekly session sounds great. I heard it’s quite difficult to catch a professor after lecture for a question.</p>

<p>Secondly, I like the <biochemistry> course offered at <Oxford>. I’ve heard that <part II project during the 4th year is where we can choose our own project? As I have mentioned in my personal statement, <stem cell> is an area I am very interested in and being able to conduct a project in stem cells under <Dr Brentwood>’s supervision would be fantastic. I’ve read about his works. But I’m also open to other areas.</p>

<p>(첫번째로 옥스퍼드 튜토리얼/케임브리지 supervision 시스템을 통한 소규모 토론 교육이란 제도를 좋은 것 같습니다. 오픈데이/대학교 웹이트에서 튜토리얼/supervision에서는 수업전에 과제를 완성/제출하고 수업에서 과제에 대해 토론한다고 들었습니다. 정규적으로 매주 학업 질문에 답을 받을 수 있는게 좋아보입니다. 강의가 끝나고 교수님에게 질문에 대한 답변을 받는 건 어렵다고 들었거든요…</p>

<p>두번째로 <옥스퍼드>에서 제공하고 <생화학> 학과가 좋은거 같습니다. 4학년 때 Part II 프로젝트로 각자의 연구 프로젝트를 할 수 있다고 들었는데 맞나요? 제 자기소개서에 언급한 것 처럼, <줄기세포>분야는 제가 관심있게 읽어온 분야이고 <Dr Brentwood> 교수님 연구소에서 연구 프로젝트를 할 수 있으면 너무 좋을 것 같습니다. 그분의 연구에 대해 읽어보았거든요. 하지만 물론 다른 분야에도 관심은 있습니다.</p>
